In English we are reading a book called Alex. It is a book about a girl who is a champion swimmer. She is training for a race against Maggie Benton. Alex always comes second against her, but this time she really wants to win. Alex is 15 years old, her body is a really big strong build. She goes to high school and is in the hockey team she plays parts in the school plays and she does ballet on top of swimming training every morning useally 4 miles every day before school. She is really confident and doesent really care what other people think of her. 

Two weeks ago my class had 8 alive, which is a week that we get to wear free dress and have no subjects and we get to go on excursions. One excursion that we went on we went to an eviroment farm. At that farm we learnt how to save water and other things like that. At the enviroment park there was an Indian village where there was people from India. In the village we learnt about Indian paintings and how they dress and we also learnt how to medatate. Another excursion that we went on we went rockclimbing, it was really fun. We practiced on the small wall then we were allowed to go on the high wall. The high wall was about 7-9 metres high. One the days that we didnt go on excursions we played learning games and we planted a little tree thing. We also planted a mural for the school.
